One of the main reasons we started this blog was to be able to connect with everyone, and we’re having a blast so far. Being able to talk to all of you and hear back from you is really interesting for us!

We’d love to see more of you commenting on the blog. We realize, though, that not all of you are that familiar with blogging or commenting, so we thought we’d post a short how-to on commenting on the blog. Let us know if you found it helpful in a (you guessed it!) comment!

To comment, from the home page, click on the title of the particular post you’re reading and want to comment on, e.g. “Jewelry makes a great graduation gift” This will take you off of the home page and to the post. At the bottom of the post is an area called “Speak Your Mind.” This is where you can leave your comment. Simply fill out the gray boxes with your information and click submit.

Whether you’re the owner of a brand new, gorgeous diamond ring or if you’re a long-term owner, we know you want to take care of your ring and keep it beautiful. After all, letting that piece tarnish would be like letting that memory tarnish. And you don’t always have to seek professional cleaning help (though, it’s much easier and stress-free) when cleaning your jewelry. Check out these DIY instructions from eHow.com on how to clean your diamond rings.

What you’ll need:

  • Contact Lens Dishes
  • Old Toothbrushes
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Glass Cleaners

1. Close the drain in the sink.
2. Soak the ring in a sink filled with hot water.
3. Fill a small dish – such as a contact lens dish – with window cleaner.
4. Transfer the ring from the hot water to the dish containing the window cleaner.
5. Let the ring soak for at least 10 minutes.
6. Dip an old toothbrush in window cleaner and scrub ring thoroughly for several minutes.
7. Refill the sink with hot water and soak the ring for a few minutes longer.
8. Continue scrubbing with the toothbrush, now under a flow of hot water.
9. Rinse well under hot water.
10. Repeat, if necessary, until you achieve a brilliant shine.

With graduation coming up for many area high schools and colleges across the country, you may be brainstorming graduation gift ideas for a family member or a friend. Don’t worry if you’re a tad tardy; it’s never too late to congratulate a loved one on such a tremendous accomplishment.

Jewelry has long been a traditional graduation gift. Surprise your grad with a personalized pendant or congratulatory charm bracelet. And don’t forget — jewelry isn’t just a good gift for girls. A nice watch will help him stay punctual on a new campus.

Still need suggestions? Give us a call. We’d be more than happy to help!
