Are men wearing less jewelry?

Men are wearing less jewelry and what jewelry they are wearing is more understated, says the LA Times.

Bling is out; bare-minimum is in. Single chains, a simple wedding ring, or a classy watch is enough to feed guys’ jewelry needs these days.

Some guys are showing off their bits of bling on accessories, too. Look for flashy iPhone and iPad covers along with blackberry cases and netbook covers that make a statement.

Summer 2010 jewelry trends

This summer, jewelry is all about being big and bold, says Squidoo’s Jewelry Trends 2009 – 2010. Dressing with a flair for the dramatic is in.

Pair an over-sized cuff bracelet with your favorite summer top or top off a strapless summer dress with a pair of classic over-sized pearls. Multi-strand necklaces are cute over a soft tee and complement a colorful cocktail ring. Big hoop earrings are hot and go well with your favorite little black dress, too. Notice a pattern? The bigger the better!

As for color? In Pantone’s Spring/Summer 2010 color forecast, it’s all about boldness as well. Check out their Fusion Coral, Tomato Purée, or Amparo Blue for inspiration!
