June truly is a great wedding month

According to Wikipedia, June is known for weddings for many reasons.
Yes, the weather is perfect for that dreamy outdoor wedding. And the kids are out of school, so traveling is easier. But the month has its own meaning.
According to one etymology, June is named after Juno (Hera). Juno was the goddess of marriage and a married couple’s household, so some consider it good luck to be married in this month.
How interesting! As if there weren’t already plenty of wedding superstitions, why not try foods that will bring you luck? Maybe you’ll reconsider that Saturday wedding. And maybe you’ll relish the itsy-bitsy spider you find in your gown.

I totally agree! If we had been married in June instead of January we could have missed the huge ice storm!
